This recipe is for you all asian food lovers! It is a vegetarian variation of the classical Chinese dumpling.
The preparation takes a little time and patience, but the result is going to be really tasty and satisfying!
Ingredients
200gr 00 flour
80gr water
A pinch of salt
1 Carrot
1 potato
1/4 cabbage
1/4 red cabbage OR 1 zucchini
1 small piece of fresh ginger
Soy sauce
A little olive oil
—
For the dough: mix the flour with the water and the salt until you obtain a smooth dough. Leave it to rest at least 30 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare the filling: grate all the vegetables and the ginger in a frying pan with a little olive oil, and sauté the ingredients adding soy sauce to your liking.
As the filling cools down, roll the dough out as thinly as possible and cut it in circles (diameter around 12-14 cm) using a cutter or a glass.
Pour a small spoon of vegetables at the center of every dough circle, and close the gyoza.
Steam the gyoza for around 20-25 minutes and enjoy!
