  1. Kane Takes Action
Christopher Kane, the London-based designer has filed a notice of intention to bring in insolvency administrators. Basically, he’s trying to either sort out the company’s debt or sell off its assets. Let’s hope things work out for him!
  2. Kim Jones Fifth Anniversary
Celebrating his fifth anniversary at Dior, Kim Jones unveiled a collection that exuded a captivating blend of romance and futurism, with 51 stunning ensembles for daytime and leisure. Elevated on square platforms across Dior’s silver floor, the presentation took place within a specially designed structure at the École Militaire. With its combination of high-tech allure and romantic aesthetics, the show perfectly encapsulated Kim Jones’s impressive showmanship at Dior over the past five years.
  3. Hold up!
Anna Wintour, the Vogue editor, along with fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic and photographer Nick Knight, made it onto King Charles III’s official birthday honors list. Talk about a fancy crew!
  4. Whoa, big news!
VF Corp, the parent company of Supreme, just appointed Bracken Darrell as their new president and CEO. This guy used to be in charge of Logitech International, a computer accessories maker. Looks like he’s making moves in the fashion world now.
  5. Here’s something exciting!
Save Your Wardrobe, a cool London-based startup snagged the 2023 LVMH Innovation Award. They’ve got this excellent digital platform that helps with clothing care and repair. As a reward, they’ll receive a whole year of support at La Maison des Startups LVMH, the group’s business acceleration program.
  6. Stunning Excellence
The Dior cruise is making a comeback! And no, we’re not talking about a fashion collection this time. It’s actually Dior’s summer wellness spa on the river Seine, and it’s back for another season. From July 3 -14, while couture week is happening in Paris, this fabulous boat called Stunning Excellence will be up and running. You can reserve your spot by visiting dior.com.
  7. Let them eat cake!
Simon Porte Jacquemus went all out for his latest show at the Palace of Versailles as part of his mission to elevate his brand. And guess what? The collection wasn’t just about Marie Antoinette; it celebrated the spirit of a people’s princess, Lady Diana. Named “Le Chouchou,” this spectacular event was the culmination of a year-long negotiation that made Jacquemus’ dream come true.
