Have your nails been feeling a little neglected lately? Are you scrimping on nail polish during quarantine? Well, here’s some nail art to get you out of that funk! Nail artist Mei Kawajiri has been filling the gram with some pretty insane manicures to remind the world to STAY HOME. And, since we know you’ve got time on your hands, we thought you could use the inspiration. So, take a moment to appreciate these pretty iconic nail looks!
Love them or hate them, masks aren’t going away anytime soon, so why not add them to your nails? Mei did this by painting her nails like yellow emojis, then giving each their own personal mask. Cute!
The Pop Culture Quarantine
How many of you have spent 90% of your newfound free time on Netflix or Amazon Prime binge watching shows you’ve already watched 5,000 times? It’s OK, we don’t judge here. By the looks of it, Mei has been doing the exact same thing, using it as inspo for replicating “stay home” in the logos of Spotify, YouTube and Instagram.
Everything sounds more sophisticated when you say it in a French accent. So, why not translate our new life mantra into French. “Restez Chez Vouz!” Voila, it’s practically couture!
The Fashionable One
Sometimes, less is more. Why not opt for an all white manicure with simple black script. If it’s good enough for ultra-chic fashion mag CR Fashion Book, then it’s definitely good enough for us!
The Clean Freak
We’re all germaphobes these days, and actually, it is something you can be proud of. Purell is as coveted as diamonds. So, for probably the first time in history, it’s actually pretty cool to have a soap brand all over your manicure.
Stars and stripes are always a classic, and so is red, white and blue. Scream it from the rooftops with the American flag (and your nails). To be honest, we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Lana Del Rey with this manicure soon…
The Arty One
Don’t have a lot of nail polishes on hand? Don’t worry! Sharpies can act as a perfect substitute, I mean, just look at this masterpiece Mei did using pens. And what’s more, she even posts how-to pictures. Definitely a manicure anyone can nail!
