David Lachapelle Shoots Kim Kardashian as Salvator Mundi

It’s for her makeup line, of course. The most famous of the Kardashian sisters, Kim, has just released a new series of photos by legendary pop art photographer David LaChapelle.

As part of KKW Beauty’s Flashing Light’s campaign, it has a religious, otherworldly Madonna feel, and one shot in the campaign (of Kim pointing upwards with her right hand) calls to mind the same pose as Da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi.

The dove, btw, adds to the strange religious quality of the set of photos, which ranges from surreal couch shots with a mirror to Kim baring all in silk sheets. But that’s nothing new, right?
