From Rothko Red to Koons Pink – What Your Favourite Art Colours Says About You
We love reading our horoscope, or taking online quizzes to find out which Spice Girl we are.
Art Stuff 16 Nov 2021

We love reading our horoscope, or taking online quizzes to find out which Spice Girl / Game of Thrones character / piece of IKEA furniture we are. Now that the longer nights are drawing in, we’re expecting that we’ll be taking more of these quizzes than ever.

This time we’re going colourful: here are our guesses at what your favourite colours say about your personality. How did we do?

Rothko Red

You’re bold, adventurous, and creative, guided by the same passion that led Rothko’s abstract brushwork. Just like the different shades of red, you have the possibility of being stormy and dark, as well as bright and peppy.

Koons Pink

You’re sensitive, friendly, and fashionable, sure to like the finer things in life like Koons’ luxury objects. You’ve got massive Main Character energy.

Monet Purple

You’re mysterious and sensual, much like the work of the Impressionists. You are very in tune with the spiritual and ethereal sides of life.

Klein Blue

You are balanced and well-rounded as a person. Like the layers of Yves Klein’s monochromatic work,  you are deeper than you may appear.

O’Keeffe Green

You’re a loyal, happy person, which had led to you attracting a great group of friends. Like O’Keeffe’s botanical paintings, you are a child of nature and are beautiful.

Kusama Yellow

Like Kusama’s work, you are playful and creative. You exude a positive energy that makes people want to be around you.

Van Gogh Orange

You pride yourself on your uniqueness and your drive towards your goals. Like the Dutch master, you are often seen as a bit of an odd-ball, but you’ve got the potential to change the world.

Constable Brown`

You’re sensible and traditional in many ways – just like Constable’s work. You are a dependable friend and are a hard worker.

Malevich Black

You are fashionable, strong-willed, and keep you cards to your chest. People don’t always understand you – much like they didn’t understand Malevich’s art.

Whistler White

You are graceful, tidy, and sometimes away with the fairies. Just like Whistler’s works in white, there are more complex elements to your personality that you only share with those close to you.
