Kate Moss Releases NFTs
Even supermodels are into non-fungibles now
Art x Tech 22 Nov 2022

At this point, who hasn’t minted their own NFT? There was The Weeknd, Murakami, and now? Kate Moss! The supermodel is releasing three video works as non-fungible tokens.

According to an article via the British Vogue website, Moss is quoted as saying: “Art for me has always been about the moment. Time is the thing that there is never enough of and that waits to no one; I’m intrigued by who will want to own a moment of mine.” We’re intrigued too, but we’re pretty sure that her NFTs will make big $$$ through an auction via Foundation, which will benefit the Gurls Talk foundation set up by Moss’s fellow model Adwoa Aboah.

The works show Moss sleeping, walking and driving, and were created by an artist collective called MITNFT (an acronym of Moments in Time and NFT), who describe themselves as being dedicated to exploring the idea of the iconic within the realm of what is personal and what is public. The film clips were shot in the British countryside in Moss’s own home and unlike the majority of images and videos we are used to of Moss, she is not modelling here, she is completely herself.

And, as well as owning a piece of technological art, the highest bidder of each NFT will be posted on Kate Moss’s Instagram, giving buyers a moment in the spotlight. For those interested in art, fashion and technology, it seems like a no-brainer opportunity for investment!
